City lad Chetan Shrouti, has been awarded with the prestigious Queen’s Jubilee scholarship sponsored by the British Council and the United Kingdom government.
Jubilee Scholarships were announced earlier this year by UK Prime Minister David Cameron as part of Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the GREAT campaign designed to focus on the areas of British excellence including its high quality education provision. The aim is to enable exceptional talent from across India to come and study Masters courses in business, administration, manufacturing, science or technology. 60 Indian scholars have been selected for Scholarships from across the country through an intensive selection process with the help of panel of experts from academia and industry.The scholars were judged on the basis of their academic merit, professional ambitions and their creative and leadership potential.
Chetan, 24 ,who was working as Assistant Manager at Bajaj Auto R&D Ltd; Pune now owns his own founded online venture "Sytrics-Inspiring Innovations". He has completed his B.Tech from NIT Warangal in Mechanical engineering and done his schooling from Somalwar High School Ramdaspeth Nagpur. On Jubilee Scholarship he will be going to UK soon to pursue his postgraduate studies in Engineering Business Management at WMG University of Warwick.
"Having experienced a research environment ,I do believe there is need to reinvigorate the design development process to identify potential opportunities, thereby increasing the design productivity without sacrificing engineering quality in manufacturing business. Hence to boost this philosophy I aspire to launch a consulting group after my masters, thereby advising future SMEs on the issues of Product Design Optimization & Design Quality Consulting to foster product development business competence in India." said Chetan.
